Lately I love to look after my nails regularly. I believe its very important and besides that its also just fun and relaxing.
My nail routine for strong, healthy and beautiful nails
- step1 – filing my nails
You’ve probably already heard or read somewhere that you need to file in one direction. I try to do that as much as I can because it supposed to be better for your nails. I shape them mostly in a round shape which makes my hands look more elegant and beautiful.
- step2 – Cuticle care
When I have a bit more time I do a cuticle soak. I put warm water in a bowl and add squeezed lemon juice. Lemon juice is a great natural bleach for getting yellow stains out and also makes the nails stronger! I leave each hand soaking for 5 minutes and after I gently push the cuticles back with a cuticle stick.
- step3 – Nail polish
This used to be a big challenge for me every time but finally after lots of practice and new techniques I found a way to make my nail polish look great!
I always apply OPI base coat first to prevent my nails from getting stained from the nail polish. After a few minutes I apply 2 layers of nail polish and let it dry for around 5 – 10 minutes. Then I apply super fast drying Poshe topcoat to give a nice shine and to protect my nails from chipping. My solution to get my nails to dry quicker is to hold my hands under icy cold water. This really works!
